🚨 POLL TIME -> TradeShow/Convention Best Practice for Business Cards🚨

WR Savages,

We weathered the Covid storm (for the most part) and the world is attempting to open up for trade shows and conventions, albeit with some precautions and social distancing measures.

In this new Contactless society, are will still carrying/giving/using physical business cards or have we traversed to more Digital measures such as Linq, CamCard, etc.

We have a trade show next week and I am weighing the decision for our sales team. Thank you for your feedback and help.

Patrick, OUT.

If you're concerned about germs, you probably shouldn't attend a trade show anyway.Β  As a vendor or a customer.

@HarryCarayΒ Personally, not concerned about Germs in the least.Β

Yeah I guess what I meant was all the people you'd interact with there likely won't be concerned either since they showed up to a mass gathering, so you'll likely be safe handing out physical cards.

Give out cards and see if you can get a copy of the attendee list. Send personalized e-mails to each person asking to swing by the booth or if 'you' can grab them a drink. Then you'll have much warmer conversations where you can exchange biz cards.

Subject: Hey {Firstname} will you be at {ConferenceName}? Body: Hey {Firstname}, Wanted to see if you’re attending this year. I’m at {BoothNumber} and wanted to see if we could connect to chat about our product. Also happy to buy you a drink at lunch or at the happy hour after if that works better with your schedule. I’ll try you again before we head the the conference and I look forward to hearing from you.

Biz cards are still relevant. I try to take pics of ppl's badges or lanyards/nametags if they have them too.Β

Physical card hands down.Β  Β You want your prospect to say to themselves "Look at that subtle off-white coloring.Β The tasteful thickness of it. Oh my God, it even has a watermark"

I'm interested in Linq but physical cards are always a bigger flex

I haven't been using business cards for the past 10 years honestly. One thing LinkedIn is good for when your buyers are there, is connecting at conventions!
