Preferred sales methodology?

Through my career in sales I've been exposed to and trained by at least 4 different sales methodology trainers: Sandler, ValueSelling, CEB (Challenger) and Miller-Heiman (PSS). I got something out of all of them, and I'm still not sure which one would be favorite.

What about you? Have you been trained by any of these or other vendors, and if so, what did you love the most out of it?

Ooh this is a good post.

I've been through quite a few myself, and I don't have a "preferred" training method. I've picked up favorites from each. SPIN selling is another good one that's not listed.

You’re right, I never took it but it was hot when I started out in the early 2000’s

I've never really stuck with one. I read SPIN selling early in my career and have taken a few things from that, but there are times where it doesn't exactly feel right. I kind of play by own rules, which is probably not good. But it's been working for me so far

Just be yourself, talk less, ask more. You don't need to follow a methodology. At the end of the day those books are written by sales guys trying to sell their product.

I don’t think there is one that’s the best. It needs to fit you as a person. Also they all have good ideas so I would pick and mix what you like about all of them :)

Challenger is the best. Teach, tailor, take control.

Has anyone tried MEDDPICC/MEDDICC? That worked form me as well but I wouldn’t call it a methodology in itself
