Anyone working at a co doing special trips for their top salespeople? have you ever been to one in your career?
Not that I have one coming up for me but I'm curious how common is this in SaaS

It's common. AKA President's Club, or Executive Club.
Some companies are straightforward as to how you qualify (eg, 100% of quota and you're in) and others have other criteria as well, so it ends up a mystery if you'll get selected or not.
If you're in one of the latter companies and you crushed your quota but still didn't get the invite: go on a nice vacation with your family and realize you can choose your destination and who you spend your time off with.
If you do earn the Club trip, have a great time, don't drink so much you blurt stupid stuff out in front of your CEO, and make sure you're on target to do it again.

Cool - currently working for a SaaS with a really small sales team so not sure we'll have something like that soon - nice to hear this is quite common!

I was referring to US based companies, yes. I'm not sure about EMEA. Will be interesting to know.
For reference, big club trips are often with bigger companies. The start up at which I worked had an annual ski trip to an exec's (very nice) cabin at a mountain resort, so maybe scale your expectations.
You could also ask a colleague or your manager if such a thing exists.

I've been on them before. I know that COVID put a stop to them though - not sure if they've started up again.

We went this year after two years of nope.

8 years, been through telco, microsoft resellers, CAD resellers and now last 2 years im in SaaS. Small co, 60 people, 4 people in sales + VP. I'm the only AE working EMEA for now but that will change.
I've been to SaaStr (both europe & US) and was wondering are there some sales retreats, parties and such and saw someone suggest 30 minutes to PC pod here and googled Presidents club so now I'm curious 😄

Gotcha. We haven't had one the past few years bc of the pandemic, but they are normally at an all inclusive beach resort.
Love the inclusive beach resort trips especially when they were Thur-Sun so I got 2 free PTO days on top of the vacay as a whole.
trips for PC are a dying breed.
A lot of them stopped due to covid, I would say majority are bringing them back. Usually going to Mexico, Miami, or Bahamas
Our company restarted this but they've been MIA in scheduling it. It's fairly common in SaaS, was lucky enough to go with my fiancé as a plus one this past year.
Qualified my first full year in the biz- trip happened the following summer, left a couple months after and have been at companies that don’t offer it until now. Current company requires a 3yr consecutive run of being in the top 10% of the company to qualify. Seems kinda impossible but we do have several that consistently go so… maybe it’s not as bad as it sounds?
Haven't had a chance to go on one due to the pandemic and whatnot.

Have gone to a few in my career, awesome time and lots of $$$ spent, they are great locations and not something i would do myself as i tend more to the frugal side. You do have to hang with a bunch of company peeps but its actually cool depending on who wins and goes.
