It has been too long for my liking since I've had a deal, but we suddenly had to let the sales manager go in one location, so I stepped in to fill her shoes. The ship is upright, so thats what matters!
The deal is actually kind of crazy - we engaged with this client to be HIS customer, as he does app development. We wanted a unique app to showcase product and do pricing.
As we had JUST signed the contract and started development, a MFGR let us know they'll make us an app, and we no longer needed his services. We try to cancel the contract, but he refused any refund of the payment we made. Keep in mind, he had done next to nothing. We anticipated a fee/loss of deposit, but we were obligated to pay him 50% of the contract. Wild. Things did not end well.....then he came back needing windows for his own house.
I went ahead and sold him some, as per usual....
