Productivity

When are you the most productive with work related tasks and getting $h!t done! I have noticed for myself that when I get up early start my day at the gym and then go right to work I am much more productive then other times of day. When are you all the most productive, how and why?

I know I am good at high-energy tasks until about 11 am, so I've prioritized my calendar around that. 8-11 is notifications off, heads down stuff. After 11 I open up to meetings/colab work with other teams. After 3pm is when I will dive back in and start admin work which is often brainless.

I completely agree with this the morning is most often when I am ready to bang out all my tasks and save the meetings and mindless busy work for the afternoons.

Early morning and then just after the post-lunch coffee for me are the power hour times.

Im pretty locked in from 730-12, then the afternoon turns into a crapshoot. I schedule most of my meetings for the afternoons for this reason.

I am super productive early on trying to do as much as I can in the morning, cause I get sleepy after lunch.

I enjoy that early morning for you is before 10 🙃.

best time for me is before 8am. Coffee, music, get myself organized before the phone rings

I'm not even coherent before 8.  I think I am, but when I revisit anything tangible I tried to do at that hour, I cringe.   I can read emails, make my task list, get a good deal of coffee pumped into my veins, but I am not capable of critical thinking until around 8:30-9:00.

8 am - 12 pm is very productive for me.  Work tasks, working out, generally getting shit done.  I also get a burst after lunch but that is typically when I spend time with clients.  My time spent there is very valuable but generally less productive.

If I workout in the morning, then I am usually laser focused for a few hours right away. Otherwise I tend to slack off and not get into it until later in the day.

I used to be all about later in the day and nights, but I feel I started shifting in my 30's.

Now I'm up at 6:30 most days and the late nights, without an impending deadline or big deal, ain't so easy nowadays.

I like being most productive from 8-11/12 and then depending on the day I try to keep that focus through 3 pm after a midday sunshine walk or core workout. I work out before work, but doing something active around lunch usually helps keep my energy and focus on point.

I pretty much have unlimited energy until around 11-11:30. I try to start my day around 7am and grind until the noonish hour. My meetings are well spread out, but I usually try to hit my top targets in the am

I have to remember to never answer emails first thing, which can be difficult, because I work for a company HQ in the Eastern time zone, and I come in early my time, but midmorning theirs.   I'm really at my best midmorning - awake, focused, not yet bogged down.

9-12 in the morning and 2-4 is my prime time. Rest goes in doing manual no brainer tasks or self-learning.

One small change I implemented is to add 10 min breaks throughout your day to your calendar. Get up, go outside, and have ZERO screen time. Leave your phone behind. This helps reset your focus.
