First & foremost thank you to this community I wouldn't have gotten my offer letters without this group! Starting my Sales career at a highly rated FinTech company.
You guys can check my post history I have been trying to break into Tech B2B sales for some time without ANY sales or tech experience in this competitive market, it was brutal & a huge learning experience.
I'm making this post to those that are struggling to break into B2B sales without any experience. The secret answer is... your doing something wrong.
If your resume, outreach, & interview plan is correct You will get a job eventually! I have been through at least 50 interviews at this point and boy was I a mess looking back!
A brief plan of what got me here was
1) metric based & ATS formated Resume
( show your accomplishments not duties)
2) outreach on linkden to HM & Other Sales members
( master this & you will have more interviews than you can do. research the company & craft a good reason on why you should work there & send that to a HM, a cold call and email wouldn't hurt etheir)
3) interview prep
( research yourself as well not just the company, what are your strengths & weaknesses? What part of your previous job translates to sales ? Bring the energy & smile. Close the interview !!!)
Thank you Guys! In 18 months from now I am looking forward to make a post on an SDR -> AE Promotion.
