Prospecting/demand gen tactics -

Hey All - Would love to learn/discuss some of your respective prospecting/demand gen tactics based on sales goals. Do you...

  • research a client in order to 'find a problem' and subsequently offer a solution to book a meeting (this tends to be for more of an enterprise sale)
  • barebones cold email/call stating who you are and why you're reaching out (spray + pray to build quick pipeline)
  • other approach?

Throughout my 10 year sales career, I've typically done the latter due to joining smaller startups and needing quick logo wins.

My Approach
Surgical research on company and how we can solve pain if not reduce cost. Even download the app to see the customer experience and ways of my product can improve it.

2nd step look for the proper stakeholder to pitch to and cold call/email linkedin them.

Push for a call to demonstrate the product to them.

As for where I get my prospects to target them App Annie in my case works but then I have to do the research.

Wow, thanks for sharing. I feel that's definitely a path to success in regards to quality meetings.

If you don't mind me asking, how are you liking App Annie over Sensor Tower/other app analytic data providers?
