Prospecting without Personalization?

Long story short, I just switched industries completely and am selling a saas solution to operations managers. I’m with a relatively new company with no clients or partners as references and the targets contacts/accounts have little to no social presence, news, or relevant info for me to gather. The only info I know for sure is our industry value props, the target contact job titles, and industry/size account to go after. How do you personalize outreach in a new territory with so little info you can gather before cold outreach? How do you stand out?

Personalization is about understanding what your value prop actually means to the folks you’re calling.

if you are “saving them time” — understand HOW it affects their position down to a task level, how that time saved must affect them personally, understand that first - start there.  Then build your script. As a recipient, and buyer from that pitch, as well as an implementer and manager of that pitch…  I can say it works pretty well.

Right now your way in is to use the "Hello I'm your new rep I'm coming to introduce myself on this date" or something along the lines of that.

Curious as to what prompted your switch and to a new industry with a company with little/no presence if that’s something you haven’t dealt with before? I guess my question is, what drew you towards your new role?

I wanted to something more fulfilling and impactful. Was tired of selling the same old meaningless widgets.

Make it about the person and their companies instead of pitching, that might help connect

Basic personalisation is crucial. Keep wywyn in mind. Always think about the impact your product has for them.

I fought this for years. Now I know the best way to cure the anxiety is keep your phone far from the bed. That way if you get up, you’re committed
