Put it in reverse Terry!

I have had a client "no show" more times than I would like to admit. The question is- at what point do I just give up on him? Every time I call he sounds so intrigued and agrees to a meeting... and then another no show. When is it time to just take him off the list?

I usually do after a couple of no-shows max. If they're that flaky pre-sale, I expect they'll continue to be flaky as contracts come in to play.

Honestly the next time you call him just call him out and say let's knock this meeting out right now. If he then pushes then schedule the appointment and if he no shows again I would just cut ties for now.

That's good advice! I'll have to try that.ย

It has worked for me a few times but also doesn't work. But in the end you are cutting out the shit and not wasting any more time. It'll show his intent.ย

Best of luck to you!

If someone no shows me twice I'll try calling them and asking them point blank if they're actually interested in having the appointment. I need a good reason as to why they've wasted my time twice or else I don't bother anymore.

Next time he answers be super straight forward. Each time I call you you tell me letโ€™s book a meeting and you no show me if you arenโ€™t interested thatโ€™s cool let me know and finish me off but if you are interested letโ€™s meet. Which one is it

It's difficult to have a hard and fast rule on this because every prospect is so different. It's typically a gut feel for me but I don't kick someone to the curb until it's been at least three no shows.

I just saw a few names/faces when I read your post.ย

At some point it comes time for the talk, I'll try something along the lines of "you seem interested but I also feel like there are a lot of competing interests for you right now, is there anything that needs to be addressed before we start these conversations again?"
