This is really, really general...

I guess, baseline you need to know who's who on each other's teams. Where do you go for contract conversations? Who are your end-users? Who needs to be involved in things like implementing solution X.

Do you mean with a prospect not a customer? And what to ask in order to start a dialogue? If a prospect then I would ask revenue, company size, decision process (who, in house or with parent company), stucture, growth plans, budget for change, etc. Also a host of other question depending what product you sell and what you need to know to make them a customer.Β

I mostly need to know what exactly they do and where they do it, loss history, payroll, potential issues they're facing, financials, how they are addressing "x" (rn it's the renewed focus on environmental regulations, contractual compliance, federal infrastructure spending....).Β
