Quick Resume Question

**I promise all of you I looked through the search bar before writing this **

I am currently revamping my resume, and my current role doesnt have a quota to attain. I also am fairly new in the role so I don't have hella deals to point to.

Any thoughts on how to convey selling ability without the really hard numbers to add?

Attainment is the key metric to look at, quota or not. Start stacking some deals. You could also leverage other soft KPIs like "days to first deal" if you only have 2-3 deals under your belt. Shows a sales manager that you have the ability to hit the ground running/generate velocity in your sales funnel.

Agreed, what else is key to your role? Do you deal with retention as well where you are resigning existing customers? If so, you can talk about that too and discuss how many you resign each month and your 12-month average and the revenue tied to that business you are securing.

Focus on the KPI's the role you are applying meets best! This may vary from role to role or even among companies. Good Luck!

What's the new role, is it sales with full sales cycle? As you didn't have quota, focus on other keys KPIs that you were measured on. Also, I find it very useful to also talk about new initiatives/implementation that helped streamlined a process and thats expected to increase X KPI by Y timeline.

Ive found that discussing other things I implemented at the company helpful! did you work with marketing to develop workshops/one pagers that are used by your company now? did you maintain positive relationships within the channel? stuff like that is easy to talk about and looks great!

If no quota to measure against, focus on the other measurables -> output and effort: presentations/demos done or "did x,y,z by doing a,b,c aligning with overall goals".
Remember that this is stuff you will be elaborating on when you get to the interview. Paint the picture and give them a story once you get there!

I have a post on my profile that asks a similar question and I got some great answers. I can’t link to it on the app for some reason, but if you go to my profile you’ll see it!
