Let's be real who is actually taking PTO these days, in sales, and not stressing out about quota stacking up on the tail end, pipeline diminishing, etc?
I know personally even if I hit quota I want to go harder, get extra moneys, and if I want time off I don't take it usually because it's near the beginning of the month, the end of the month, quarter, etc.
That being said, does anyones companies have a way about dealing with this? Or do I mention this in my interview process? I need time off where I can actually relax without thinking I have to come back and makeup for lost time
Ie.
if im expected to get 10 meetings or 100k pipeline a month and I take 2 weeks PTO, it would be great if it was policy that THAT MONTHS new quota/pipeline expectation for OTE 100% achievement is equal to 5 meetings or 50k pipeline that month.
Am I the only one? Better yet, what is this doing to peoples performance? Is this healthy or productive for employees?
I think companies that do this in the future will be extremely attractive. but let me know in the comments what you think
