Quota to Base (or OTE) ratio?

About to get comp structure and quota for 2022. What's the ideal quota vs. base or OTE? 3x? 4x?

I'm afraid my VP might be expecting 4-5x of base for quota; is that a sign that they should raise our base?

if they want a mil sold, you should ask for 250ote, base 50% of that.

you should produce 5x what your paid. anything less then that in your comp plan and they're underpaying you

Worked with companies that had close to what Grizzle mentioned. Target 4.5 to 5X of OTE. Base to commish 60:40, 50:50.

I always look for a 50/50 split between base and comp. Anything lower than that on base side is a red flag and any caps on commission is a red flag.

Thank E - do you think quota should be 5x of a OTE?

7-8X base is usually what quota is. 10X is extreme, like Cardone.

I heard 20% of your quota should be your OTE so if you have a quota of 1,000,000 then your OTE should be 200,000. which seems like the 5X but thats OTE. If we are talking about base then that's usually 50/50 split which would put that at 10X....so would that person be underpaid then?
