Inbound lead handed over by US SDR. This is one of the best SDRs we have who was supporting me in ROW, but the US team pulled them out due to "bandwidth issues". SDR did the initial legwork here before the handoff. The only thing I did very successfully was to NOT let go - reason being that we'd closed nothing in UAE prior to this one. Kept my follow-ups regular, sent across a loom as a reminder today to the IT head, got a "thank you" comment on the loom and a signature 3 hours later.
Side note: UAE schools seem to be extremely bureaucratic. The purchasing process is quite similar to what one would see in an enterprise - multiple stakeholders, signatures, vendor registrations and what not. Then, you'd see a lot of Indians in UAE schools (and the country in general as well) - and they can be tough to deal with (i have no hesitation isn saying this being an Indian myself).
