Do y’all ever use read receipt when sending an email to a prospect after an initial cold call conversation (after you have confirmed they are actually interested in receiving it and not just doing it out of obligation or to get you off the phone - shout out all my Sandler Savages out here 😉)?
I typically don’t BUT I do ask them to shoot me a reply back (nothing fancy, just a “got it” is fine) so I “know it didn’t get caught up in spam or something.” I do this because in my line of work (AE @ a head hunting agency) commitment and quick response is VITAL and it helps me gage how interested they are (if they respond or not and how quickly if they do). I know it’s not fool proof (people get busy). But if they can’t do a simple reply, it says a lot IMO. Is this a tactic anyone else uses?
