Really safe Glassdoor Reviews?

How anonymous is Glassdoor?

Can the employer track it back somehow?

Worked at a toxic company and would love to warn people to run far away from there but never posted anything because you never really know.

Ive also seen CEOs reset their ratings somehow.

Went from 20% recommended to 88% with a ton of BS reviews. Some of these fools have this glassdoor game down so I’m sketched to even write the truth.

You can get a sense of the culture from GD but could be disgruntled employees or competitors?

GD is extremely safe in a large company format... but if you have sub 50 employees, it's easy to tell who wrote what.

So true. I also make a point to check if all the "extra positive reviews" dates are so close together. It's like their company gave all their employees a "volunteered" request.

Eh. If you work for a large company with a giant Salesforce you're probably fine. Just be aware.

Agreed. I wouldn't leave a review if its a small company. Too easy to figure out who left it.

Glassdoor is anonymous but you can typically tell who leaves it by the review details. There are also ways for companies to remove extreme defamation posts from disgruntled employees. It’s hard to really know a company from Glassdoor, so use it carefully.

It's safe but don't sound too aggressive because it can be rejected to be posted.
I highly doubt competitors come into play there
