I'm trying not to. Selling into the customer base is 75% of my income and they aren't gonna be spending long. Winter is coming I fear. I wouldn't say I'm panicking but def close.ย

With midterms coming up I got a feeling they are going to fire back up ze old money printer. Maybe I am wrong and it is not necessarily the brightest idea (in my humble opinion) since inflation is brutal but if you hold assets it seems like Jerome and Yelen are going to swoop in again and make sure they don't tank too far. I'm happy to be young right now with a whole career ahead of me but I genuinely feel bad for those who are nearing retirement and watching their 401ks get destroyed by the looming recession.ย

being only 25 I'm loving seeing the market tank. I've increased both my 401k contribution and my personal stock purchases into index funds. This is the best time to buy if you can afford it.ย

I came out of college and we were in a recession and I was just trying to get a job and it was fine. I wouldnโ€™t worry to much.ย

When somebody like me tells you your portfolio displays a high concentration risk, ask good follow-up questions.

But you'll probably be aight.ย

You'll be good man. Focus on what you can control.ย

If something happens I do not think it will be a long-term down period. Sales jobs will likely bounce back within a couple quarters; with the capt. obvious caveat - some sectors will be hit harder than others.

I actually need to boost my Em fund. I am working to buffer my emergency fund with I-bonds over the next several years to roll some funds in each year so that it's not just dead money getting hit with inflation y-o-y.ย

Most of us will be ok, but I do think major losses will happen in the US job market AGAIN. Getting good, being an asset, and pushing ourselves harder is the only thing we can do for now.ย

Considering Iโ€™ve been seeing all these posts about sales people being laid off, I am a little scared but Iโ€™m trying not to let it affect it. Iโ€™m going to keep working hard and pushing myself to be better than I was before.
