Relationship Building

I was curious as to know what are other peoples main focuses when creating and building relationships with future or current clients? For me I truly focus on spending my time getting to know the client. I try to work on things that will get them to talk to me which requires a lot of questioning. So I try not to ever make them feel like they are being interviewed rather I try to make them feel as if they are being heard with every response. Anyone else do anything similar to this or something completely different?

First thing I do is make sure any potential clients know how to spell "Phoenix" and "Physical". In other words, proofread a post prior to hitting the Enter key. ๐Ÿค”

Think organic and not tactical, homie. Be authentic. Connect human to human. If you GAF, theyโ€™ll know. Thereโ€™s no manual for this.

Just be authentic. Listen actively. When you find common ground, let them finish. Nothing worse than an overbearing OH ME TOO... I KNOW RIGHT?!... OMG!!! I have a Prius also!!!!

I typically like to show that I am interested in getting to know what makes them tick. To do this I usually say something to the effect of wanting to get to know what they care about. Usually I also try to listen and write down a few casual points they might make and mention that I want to go back to a point they brought up and show I was listening to what they said. Typically it makes them open to sharing more because they know they were heard.

Itโ€™s harder nowadays but to truly build relationships or long term. You have to have passion over your domain or speciality. Iโ€™m focused on staffing and recruiting so client relationships are very important but sales is still sales so itโ€™s flying a plane and building it at the same time. Be as authentic as possible. Know who you are and what you can provide long term. Best of luck. Letโ€™s chat if youโ€™re open to it.

Honestly, I just find where I can add instant value. If they have a trip coming up to a city I know, we talk about it. Kid that needs to get into a school that I have friends who went there? I offer to make an intro. Not sure about what they really need? I help build the matrix.

It's a fine line in being curious and being an interrogator.

Find out their pain and then create a solution to solve it by either increasing sales or decreasing costs.

Building rapport is the key for me.
Also, just don't sound that your target is depending on their sale, the more normal and authentic you're the more you'll be trusted!
