Remeber when Outbound was Dead?

Anyone else remember that time Hubspot and others claimed that outbound sales andmarketing were dead and the future was inbound? Because I do. I was working for a competitior at the time which was more focused on outbound than inbound while they kept posting blogs about outbound being a relic of the past.

I came across one of their job applications lately which includes questions on whether you currently source more than 70% of your leads from outbound and what strategies you use.

Anyone remember any other big u-turns? I can see a few apearing in the future with all the hype around replacing SDRs with AI.

When you're around long enough, everything is dead, revived, and dead again. Rinse and Repeat.

You get used to it and just ignore the noise.
