Remote first?

My company has just announced we will now permanently be a remote first company, there is no expectation to go into the office and we're going to persist with a 14 space hot desking office for a 130+ employee business. I'm all for flexible working but this is too far in the other direction and I want to work somewhere with an office atmosphere and culture. As this is unlikely to be the only business to be taking this approach I'm wondering if this is going to be a deal breaker for other sales legends?

Would you look elsewhere if youโ€™re company went remote first?

I love being a remote rep. I see my team every morning on video which is overkill but we are connected. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

I honestly love working from home, I am more productive, and take small coffee breaks in the garden, I'm close to my grandma in her final days. It's great! It's definitely not for everyone, but it's just what I needed!

I feel like culture in sales is the most important thing (at least for me)ย

Sales sucks sometimes man, let's be honest. And my motivation is making sure I won't let others beat me but at the same time being able to watch and learn from what makes others successful on the floor.

Couldnt agree more, cold calling really isnโ€™t a chore when youโ€™ve got a good buzz going about the team but this year alone at home, brutal. And just general motivation like you said

I dont think I will ever work for a company that requires me to be in office ever again. I had my fun living in a city playing that game but now being able to have the career I want and the lifestyle I want, its like having my cake and eating it to.ย

I dont miss the office in the slightest. I see my team, and management team frequently enough to feel connected to them, but also have the freedom to live and do what I want. Its the best of both worlds for me.ย

I personally love WFH, that being said I also wouldn't mind going into the office a couple of times a week to see my coworkers and get some sort of a break from zoom meetings.ย

Call me what you want, just sign the damn contract
Um, that's the dream. Including COVID, I've been remote for more than half of my career now. It's just better. My best collaboration with my team ever was when I was fully remote.

WFH all the way, for the there are way more perks than issues, but again I live alone with no kids to make noise...ย

My current work situation supports more productivity and numbers working from home.ย ย

WFH - I have more autonomy to structure my day that will make me more productive.ย  I have direct control over outside disruptions and can find the perfect work space for my day.ย

Office - I love the structure of the office, but the way we are currently set up, people are always commenting on my phone calls, yelling across the room at each other while we are on calls, dogs are here barking and running around.ย  Just not for me.ย

I like to work from home, I feel more relaxed, with more energy to produce and I share a little more with my family
