Remote —> hybrid transition : adjustment/advice?

I've worked at the same company for the entirety of my 'career', straight out of college started where I still am ~3 years later (know that doesn't sound so long necessarily but in 'startup' land it sure is a relative eternity).

team is fully remote and we don't have an office (or any offices) -- thought remote work was the best option when I started but after nearly a few years I do find myself yearning for some (or any) company culture (in addition to several improvement re: other pitfalls in my org). without an office, and without any investment in culture/employee experience, full remote role has had it's challenges for me personally (positives as well around flexibility, independence, etc) but mainly I find myself wishing we had a hybrid option or any opportunities to connect (live and otherwise even). also, it's the only company I've known but I definitely have a bit of FOMO re office culture, work friends, a lot of the social aspects, as well as the stronger support and available resources IRL (it's nearly impossible to get visibility from higher ups, or even cross functionally+ no live help, can't learn from colleagues, form better internal connections, or upskill being around all different segments, managers, etc.). also, I am aware of the fantastic parts of remote work (but at my current stage of my career and personal life they're not specially applicable or huge value adds for myself), if I had a partner/children/major in-home needs I can see the immense value but as a earlyish  20 something I like the idea of happy hour with colleagues, comrauderie ; etc (I know 'grass is always greener' isn't the case ofc).

anyway, I'm considering moving companies (not to do with the remote factor, just thinking about hybrid vs. remote as I being to apply externally).

anyone able to share their personal experience moving from a fully remote role to a hybrid or in office role? any anecdotes would be incredibly helpful re: transition, pros/cons, differences (positive +/or negative).

slightly intimidated to start a role where I'd be (at least semi) forced (via hybrid specially vs. 100% on site) to go into the office - something I can't imagine as I've never done it given my remote gig.

have you changed from remote --> hybrid or full in office? was it a positive change overall?

working remotely or hybrid, which do you prefer

I’m curious why there was a need to have two posts about this?

Both start with a 3 year career. Both beg the question, who told you you're entitled to any opinion after 3 years? Nobody even talked to me in my first 3 years. One guy told me there were 2 rules if I wanted to last.
1. Never admit getting an inbound lead
2. Never speak in sales meetings.

Those are essentially the two core tenets of sales.

Who told me I’m entitled to any opinion? I’m a top performer and trying to find the best set up for myself - one guy told me that:
1) no one else is there to help you in your career at the end of the day. It’s yours.
2) Be selfish.

If you think you’re missing out in camaraderie, then start looking to see what’s out there that offers hybrid. Hopefully something very close to you so the commute isn’t horrible. It’s worth looking.

Thought of sitting/rotting in an office makes me utterly ill.

I’ve worked in office my whole career… Also 3 years (also #1 rep in the org so fuck off with the hate lol, jk).

Anyway, in my eyes there are pros and cons.

It’s great when you got the right guys around you - going out is fun and shit.

When you don’t have the right guys, they are like a cancer and drain the energy.

You can either use that as motivation and want to out perform them so much that they want to quit - or you can let it bring down you energy.

I suggest the first option.

Either way, do you and hope this helped.
