Remote saas sales: Do you ever see other humans in person?

I know there are a ton of different ways this plays out but just wanted to hear from other folks how it is for each of you.

Some folks never see clients, it's all on zoom, but their workspace is hybrid and they come into the office to see teammates every week.

Some folks do occasional in person wining and dining with bigger clients (but after COVID do people still do this?)

Some folks are full remote 100% of the time except for a once a year company wide gathering.

What do you guys think are the most common scenarios of remoteness vs hybridness vs inpersonness? Yea those are words now.

Remote. Zero time spent traveling means I can get a few more calls made, orders in, and SFDC updated. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

That's definitely an upside!

I do miss traveling, but don't miss coming home with whatever random ick was out in the wild and usually picked up by me in Vegas, because whatever happens in Vegas is usually some virus that loves to travel.

Work remotely, will travel to customers if they want, but most of them have also gone remote and have broadly scattered teams. I've met my colleagues in person once for a team meeting, though I expect that to increase over time.
At this point in time, all of my work has been fully remote and I have yet to meet a customer in person.

I go to conferences and try to meet with clients in person when they let me. But regular co-worker in person interaction doesn't exist for me.

I'm fully remote but the last few months I've started dropping in on clients & trying to network as much possible in person. Getting drunk at an industry event nets me more leads than a month of cold outreach.

Fully remote. Once in a quarter weโ€™d meet for parties. Though we save on office rental costs, travel costs, travel time, etc, etc,
I really miss the physical office. If it were to me, Iโ€™d want to visit the office at least once/week.

Full remote, not seeing in-person clients, seeing some coworkers in-person depending on all company meetings or happy hours in my city.

i am fully remote 100% of the time.

but i see people often. I go to 3 -5 conferences a year and every quarter our team flies in to one place to work and hang out for a few days.

i feel like this is the total sweet spot.

We are 100% remote. Leadership wants us to meet for all hands in-person. They know I wonโ€™t go.

Live your life. My favorite coworker is my husband. I have great working relationships, but I donโ€™t need to spend time away from my family to have a successful career.

I'm remote but get to see everyone once a quarter. Feels like a good amount. Everything else is on Zoom.

I worked fully remote for a Lithuanian company that had a US salesforce. I only met my colleagues once at a conference in Vegas.

Which is interesting, because you never really know who you work with until you're a few drinks in at the corporate sponsored club party. Thought the AE I worked under was chill until he offered me blow.

Used to into an office (founder and CEO was one of those people who forced people to come in a minimum of three days per week, so they could sit in their separate offices and do teams calls with each other - SUPER LAME).

New gig Iโ€™m 100% remote (Iโ€™ve only met our chairman and owner who is my immediate boss in person once, and havenโ€™t met anybody else in person), and Iโ€™m loving it.

No more 2 hour commuting each day and spending hundreds of dollars on gas every week with no benefit.

I offer to meet up with all my clients, but very few want to put on pants to leave the house. I'm in the US, and a lot of my competition is in Asia. Offering to meet, even when they are going to say "No", gives me additional credibility. Most of my competition can not offer a personal touch.

Since pandemic pushing everyone to wfh, many people are of the opinion that all aspects of businesses (at least for software) can be done remotely. How many of you still believe that persona touch goes a long way to close a sales deal?

How many people here selling an "all-in-one" platform here? In fact, do you even work for a saas company if it's not "all-in-one"? ๐Ÿง
