If there is an item that needs to be acknowledged then you should reply. However, if it's a confirmation of your previous statement then you don't need to reply in turn to keep things cordial.

Do you always reply to emails from prospects, even if it's just a "Thanks for confirming" or do you wait until you have something new to bring to the table, updates, changes, questions, etc.

If they email me anything other than a "thanks," or some other pleasantry I do send a reply to acknowledge I've received their communication and let them know what the next steps from my end will be.
