That's what I said would happen. It's common.
I was shocked when my last company allowed me to work out my last two weeks - but it wasn't "work" by that point. I transitioned what I could, and still had access. But yes, it was a surprise.
I was worried they wouldnโt pay me honestly.
That is a valid concern. Are you sure they are going to?
The loss of access is perfectly normal. You should be getting instructions on how to return any company material or tech as well, which I would personally do as promptly as you can.

I thought this was pretty standard practice. Happened to me every time I've left a role at will - 2 weeks pay and you leave today

Yeah, that's usually how it works. I've been locked out in a matter of minutes in previous roles.

Standard practice at most companies. Once you say you're jumping ship... they literally kick you off the ship before you start burning or sabotaging it.
Yup, thatโs what usually happens. When I finally put in notice after a month of overlap, I was lucky to be asked to stay the full 2 weeks. My access stayed through the weekend past the 2nd week.

I had a boss tell me its "last day last pay" when i gave my 2 weeks. he tried to fire me right there and cut off all benefits and pay.
With a new born and a million doctors appointments coming up, i told him what a terrible idea that is, and if he does this, he will NEVER get another heads up from anyone else when they leave.....he thankfully changed his mind.
