Resume Help- Current role has no official quota or KPIs

I'm updating my resume to apply for a certain role, and running into a mental block on how to showcase my badassery when my current role has no quota or other KPIs. I'm the first ever sales person at my current company so they weren't sure how to quantify what they expected of me or even what was possible, instead it was just "go sell as much as you can!".

How should I go about listing this role? There are literally zero metrics by which I can measure success and a quota was only established recently once I was put on a PIP for non-performance. The lack of establishing specific goals, quotas, metrics before putting me on a PIP is exactly why I'm ready to laterdayz- but how the hell do I communicate that in black-and-white on a resume?

@BigMeechso, to follow up to this- my "closed" doesn't look like an astounding number, bc everything is based on MRC. However, I do have two GIANT in-flight deals, one of which will close next month after legal is finished with their BS.

Is it ever appropriate to highlight total-value of pipeline?

In this case it sounds appropriate - especially because these seem to be legit deals rather than just an ambiguous "pipeline" number

I wouldn't worry too much about the "impressiveness" of the number. There are too many variables that would make it impressive or not that a good hiring manager should be able to see past.

I see resumes that highlight total pipelines value relatively frequently and it doesnt turn me off to them at all.

@BigCheese do you have any insight for me here?

I'd do exactly what @BigMeech said. Stating that you're the inaugural rep takes the emphasis off of metrics/quota and can also show that they trusted you to be the first person in that role and blaze a trail - That could be something that impresses me on a resume. Following that up with your actual quantified performance is really the only way to do it.

Just because there's no official KPIs doesn't make that bad.

Just because there's no official KPIs doesn't make that bad. On the contrary you could spin it as look at how much drive I have I would on average a certain # of calls/meetings/etc a day and closed --- amount of $. They might be impressed!
