Retention bonuses

Has anybody else gotten a retention bonus (we'll give you X dollars if you stay until Y date) upon acquisition? I've had one in place for several months and I'm still trying to figure out how much this should impact my decision making when it comes to jobs.

I got a large sum of RSUs as a retention bonus since they don't start to vest for a year. I'm waiting for my initial batch then bouncing. If you're miserable (as I am) don't let it cloud your judgement too much. You can use it as a lever in negotiating for your next offer.

We get assigned stocks and depending on your level within the company they are definitely an incentive to stay put. As an AE maybe not enough of an incentive. but for Enterprise Reps and managers they definitely work, very little turnover in those ranks

FEELINGS- Your commission is annual (ARR) but the customer paid monthly (MRR) and if there is a churn in the next few months, the company will deduct by increasing your quota and taking the equivalent amount $$ from your quota in the next month.
