Royally fucked up

Just have to rant for a bit and wallow in self pity. Lol

I accepted a job offer contingent on passing a drug test. Thought that wouldn't be a problem cause I stopped smoking at the beginning of May.

Well, I gave my notice a couple weeks ago and was supposed to start my new job on Monday. But today I found out that I had 3 times the minimum test limit and they are recinding the offer.

I asked if I could retake the test cause there is no way I'd be three times over. But nope, too bad so sad and I'd have to wait 3 years to reapply. Lol

They are the ones that were pushing for me to give notice so I could start right away. I wanted to make sure everything was good before I did but got talked into it cause I thought for sure I'd be good to go. Even did a detox ahead of time to make sure.

Looks like I'll be taking some time off now before i start looking again. And before anyone says to talk to my company, they have already filled my position and there really isn't anywhere else I can go there. Plus it'd be like crawling back with my tail between my legs.

Moral of the story, trust your gut and done be talked into things.
