SaaS Pricing tool?

I am always looking to improve how our Sales team interacts with the pricing sheet. (ie Google Sheets, bundle pricing updates, Discount thresholds, initial quoting outside of CRM/CPQ etc)

For context, it seems the industry standard involves Analysts building a new version on google sheets and distributing it out to Sales reps with read-only or limited access so reps don't break it. Definitely could be improved!!

How are your org's managing the pricing and how would you improve it?

How do you view your pricing?

We use Google Sheets for early stage "budgetary pricing" exercises, but use CPQ for official order forms.

Salesforce CPQ has been what I’ve used most predominantly.

Yea SFDC CPQ is awesome but do you use it for earlier stage quoting, Similiar to how BigMeech put it "budgetary pricing"

Prebuilt Excel books for models and preliminary pricing and then connect them to CPQ for formal quotes and execution.

It’s online, something I’ve not really worked with prior to this job. We’re working more on a product-led growth model which follows a free sub to paid sub model
