SaaSam closed a deal for $921k to the Operations department

Boom! Largest deal of my career! Still haven't broken that seven figure mark but I'm closing in on it!


Client was pushing to break up into 3 or 4 smaller payments which would have only granted me a small portion of the over all deal but with some coersion and a little bribery in the form of a few bottles of nice tequila I brought it home in one piece. Few hundred dollars worth of booze and express shipping definitely worth it.


Bribery is the answer.

What can I say man? Law firms are notoriously tight-lipped about how much revenue they truly bring in. A lot of my clients are pushing fortune 500 numbers so they've got it to spend but I don't think you'll find a single law firm on the fortune 500 list.

At the end of the day, this one gets chalked up to relationship building. They knew they wanted what I had, just became a matter of how much they were willing to pay.

Works on everyone, the trick is finding the right price. Traffic tickets in Mexico seem to be around 10 bucks. With these lawyers, it's more about getting them something that they don't have easy access to.

I should but I'm not organized. I just have unique access to stuff that would normally not be easy to get for folks in the states. So I think more about difficulty to acquire than price. My clients are multiple homes, yacht club, private island rich so the price of something isn't likely to impress so much as how difficult it would be for them to get their hands on it.

Non exported specialty tequila with a secret extra that I get from some indigenous friends of mine down here in Mexico.

The tequila alone I think is enough to generate gratitude but it's the extra element that kicks it over the top.

Yeah I'm pretty proud of it. Got a line on something new though. Been in existence for like 500 years but only became an official thing in Mexico back in 2019 so a lot of folks in the states haven't heard of it. It's like tequila but made from a different kind of agave.

I couldn't say what I sell without outing myself. But, I live in Mexico about 75% of the time so I've got good access to tequila. Especially since I live in the state where Tequila was invented.
