This deal took me 3 months to finally close with a lot of go between with the CEO and the CFO. Painfully constant requests for proof of this and that. Lots of back and forth on pricing until finally I decided to just go big or let the deal die and told them that once they showed me proof of what they were currently being charged by our competitor I wasn't going to talk pricing. That time the following week I got the info I needed and was able to beat their current offering by a good amount. But because our onboarding process is like driving a model T across country on a dirt road I wasn't able to count it as a win for like an additional 30 days. But the day finally came!
