Interesting deal from start to finish. A introduction is made from a partner company for our service offerings - the prospect was interested in learning more and so we schedule a discovery call. On the call the prospect says maybe a dozen words in half hour, just a man of very few words, but wants to schedule a follow up + demo. We get to the demo, same deal everything looks okay but he doesnt speak much. I talk to the originally rep at the partner company who also sat on the demo, and hes like "Wow ive never seen him so engaged before!" I was cracking up turns out the guy is just literally very low energy, doesn't talk a lot. We get through some testing and hes being a bit more vocal, by the end hes picking up calls to his cell and we are having (albeit short) conversations and wrap the deal up. I think this deal was a bit of a reaffirmation that every prospect is different and sometimes you need to keep that in mind just because they arent foaming at the mouth to buy doesnt mean their isnt an opportunity in front of you.
