It could be a popcorn emoji icon and man this post is wild - dude calls himself a prophet and in my mind makes the Grinch (pre heart explosion) a better person to work for/with.

I saw it, not sure why people continue to beat the ‘back in office’ drum so hard. Can it help for some, or certain business divisions? Sure. But a blanket statement like this with no evidence is silly.

Sahil's questions are particularly pertinent, what does it matter to the OP? Personally, I prefer being in the office and I think it does our team good to be together however I live 5 mins from the office, as do the majority of my colleagues and it works well for us. For everyone? Probably not.
The only part I can get on board with is junior employees I can see it harming their long term growth in a role without having the accountability and general support you can get in the office, I know i wouldnt be where I am today if I started out life working in my bedroom. But again it is so nuanced i dont see how you can paint it with a single brush.

I've always been remote. Even as a baby rep. Many of us are wired to self manage and not be hand held. I do want to be clear you make great points. Maybe it depends on industry.

Yeh thats fair. I went into a full time sales position for an international business at 18 and was greener than the grass and appreciated the hand holding to begin with as i still had plenty to learn about life itself never mind selling solutions.
I am on the road 50% of the time these days and more than half of my time is spent travelling which is very isolated (even when surrounded by millions of people) so i appreciate my time in the office these days. We are all different and Peter apparently doesnt know that.

You know why these people are so loud? Because sales people self manage themselves, so lack of office could kill a lot of manager roles. Because truth be told it calls to question what they do. More junior reps sure, BDR sure, give it 6 years and while I think my manager is supportive... Not that useful

This guy is so immature and condescending it's astounding.
I'd hate this if the comment exchanges weren't so amusing.

What's worse is the air of importance these "thought leaders" get from having their buttholes licked by all the folks trying to get in their good graces.
