Good post by @Gasty giving you the heads up. But honestly, itโs asking relevant questions and active listening. Learning to understand what the client actually needs and aligning their incentives to your own.

Persistence, optimism, and thick skin. All of the additional elements can be learned and the sarcasm and nihilism comes naturally. Mind the addictive personality that you'll develop as well.
I would say "writing skills" but I think that's been covered.
