Sales for life? Or are you pursuing your secret passion on the side?

Is it just me or does every sales person have a secret hobby that they want to make their career? Real estate business, podcast, comedic videos on Instagram about sales people and sadness.

Do you have one? Or are you in sales 'til you can afford that yacht on your desktop background and then you're retiring?

I actually have a lifelong passion for doing community work, I apply my skills as a sales professional to fundraise money for grassroots organizations.

This is such an interesting topic. I use my hobby to unwind on the weekends, or after a pretty stressful day. Will I be able to make money from it later on, I really hope so. But for now, it's fun just learning and trying out new techniques.

And unless I become some overnight sensation, I can't see getting rich from it. I can see it being a profitable side hussle and having lots of bragging rights. Lol

And incase you are wondering what it is, I make gold and silver jewelry with different gems. Mostly emeralds at the moment.

You could absolutely get rich doing it! Some people say, that doing your hobby for a living could make you hate your hobby though.

This is a great topic. I love sales but I do pursue a few business ventures on the side that would take president if they got legs.

I found a way to mix what I love to do with my sales career which made me reassess why I got into sales in the first place.... freedom.
The freedom to control what I earn, where and when I work/ how long I stay. eventually I just wanna work on whatever excites me at the moment 🙌🏻

My game is hip hop, but...The Rap Game is a tough racket. I think sales has made me more effective at understanding and positioning my UVP as an artist. At the same time there is so much room for growth for me as a salesperson. Money is a motivator, anyone who says it isn't either already has money or is lying.

In terms of passions and dreams, sometimes I miss having a full stack and machine, to capture the green, and when you close you get fat dopamine, but sometimes sad in routine, I end up having poutine, updating salesforce about the man who just screamed at me for ringin'...sorry, been listening to too much Em.
