Sales has changed a lot of things in my life

Like a lot of you, I stumbled upon sales. I was a huge fuck up and definitely never the smartest dude in the room.


I messed up in high school, didn't do all that great in college, and never felt particularly smart. Five months into my role, I've hit >100% of my quota and made more money than I ever thought I'd be able to. I'm busting my ass to improve my life and build something of myself. This is just a vent for everyone maybe relates to the struggle of trying to make something of yourself.


All I know is I'm grateful to get my ass kicked in exchange for making something of myself and I'll keep going as long as I'm able to. I guess what in trying to say is thanks for the collective suck and making me feel like I'm not a total fuck up.

Love to hear it. I'm the same way, sales has and will continue to change my life in the most positive ways I never could have dreamed of. Keep that fire alive because with the highs come the lows but trust yourself and what you're doing and it'll always average out. Stoked for you!

My favorite thing about sales by far is that it is a leveled playing field.ย  College dropouts can make as much if not more than doctors/lawyers. I've literally watched a homeless man come off of the street, living in a tent, and put up 6figures.ย ย 

All it takes is hard work and the tenacity keep on keepin on, my brother.ย  Once you figure out the grind, there's literally no end to the possibilities.ย  You got this.ย  GET IT

It took me 5 years to muster the consistent relentless habits to be successful. I canโ€™t believe I have to force myself to close my laptop at night now. Once the lightbulb goes on, skyโ€™s the limit. Fuck everyone and get the bag king.

If you take care of yourself, the rest will fall into place. Take breaks during the day, don't be afraid to decline invitations to events, and don't get consumed with your #'s. Separating office from home life is a big thing, but can be hard if you're a driven quota cruncher.
