If you have a strong customer base, I will never not recommend a strong referral program. The best prospects to work with are the ones whose colleagues in the same industry recommend you. You can even lump in quality data on big name customers. For example, my company saved one of the world's largest grocery chains $34 million last year. Having success stories like that with strong brands is priceless during the sales process.
