SALES PLAYBOOK (any examples?)

We are creating a sales playbook to distribute to our reps for 2022. We had one for 2021 but it was only for 2 reps and turned out to not be the most functional.


Anyone have good examples they've seen of a playbook? Who have you seen that has functional playbooks that help reps crush it? can you share examples without outing yourself?

Your "playbook" should replicate what makes your top reps great. What repeatable processes are they doing that drive conversations, what language are they using in outreach/emails/demos to sell etc. Wrap that shit up in a nice little bow in your sales wiki and never stop adding to it.ย

Cant share but my company has a whole hub with all sales playbooks, competitive landscape, marketing materials, technical enablement, partner enablement, deal desk/incentives, and anything you could ever need. Its great. Put the time in upfront to make a good playbook and it will pay dividends

Same here, complete with playbooks by solution/vertical and cross referenced.ย  ย It's complete with personas and competitive info.ย  ย The playbook(s) should be a reference bible so that the reps have what they need at their fingertips.ย  It should also be frequently updated as more data is acquired by the team.

Can't believe there are people saying "Depends".

A playbook enables the rep to know what to do even when they cannot get in touch with their manager or ops. It's also the training bible for new reps. The better the playbook, the faster time to production for a new hire.

I voted no and then realized I don't think I've ever used one. And here I am asking my managers to write down the most commons questions and rebuttals so I can study them.
