Sales Practice Idea?

Hey everyone,

new to the community but it's pretty lit so far.

I'm an AE at a software company here in Utah and had an idea for a side/hustle coaching business.
As sales reps, would it be valuable to you to have someone you can practice your sales techniques with outside of your work management? Examples would be practicing call openers, discovery questions, closing questions, setting expectations, etc.

As a young sales professional, I come across so much good sales advice and content, but never really put much into practice. Sometimes (don't judge me on this haha) I role play with myself in the car on the way home, and thought maybe others would appreciate someone they can just practice with and get feedback.

What do you all think? Would this be something you or a young sales pro you know would be interested in?

You think folks will want to pay to role play scenarios outside of work hours?

Solid idea, but hard pass. I do enough role play at work. The last thing I’d pay for is more of it with someone who doesn’t know my industry.

I don't judge you, because that's exactly how I prep.  I write out my talking points and then practice them over and over first to make sure I sound human and not scripted, and second, to eliminate redundancies, ums and other extraneous words, and to make sure I am practiced on the flow.

For the rest of it, maybe?  I'm personally not interested in coaching or practicing outside of what I do with myself or with my enterprise colleagues more ad-hoc (hey, is does this sound right to you?), but others may find value in it.

Could be for newer reps, maybe 0-24 months sales experience?

glad you practice your pitch/opener/questions in the car.

practicing out loud is a great way to build confidence and make sure you sound normal.......but I would never pay anyone to do this with me.

if your manager cant do this with you, then you have problems.
