My wife has her own Australian Labradoodle breeding business. She's a savage. She sells them for $3100/each and has a waiting list 20 deep.
I've got a 5-month-old Aussie Goldendoodle - great pup!
My wife hates sales people. She always gets so pissed when somebody cold calls or emails her. I’m like “babe be nice to them, I do that to people too and I just want a response and to help”. She usually proceeds to delete their emails and block their calls 🤦
I don't think it matters.
My wife is in sales as well, we have two totally different products that we sell, but I find it nice to share similar struggles or war stories. At times though I feel like we are both A type and can dig in a bit more, thus causing some conflict.
My wife is a 2x founder (one is a clinic, the other is an app company). We have a pretty good system for keeping work from becoming our sole focuses, however, sometimes we both get so in the zone that we realize we haven't eaten dinner and it's 9/10pm.
My wife SHOULD be in sales, she would be WAY more of a savage than me, 10x smarter, 10x more charming, and I fancy myself pretty damn good too.

I don't think it matters. As long as you both understand/support each other.
We are both in sales however, I am outbound calling while they are inbound calling so very different types of sales and the companies differ hugely. But good to compare notes and have someone to talk to who understands sales.
