Sales through LinkedIn; Need help

Hi, there!

I am creating a training for my BDRs regarding selling throught LinkedIn (We use Mail, phone and LinkedIn).

It has been always the worst channel for us. We sell financial services regarding cards, our ICP are CFO or Financial teams. We pay for Sales Navegator. We are in the Spanish market

Which tips can you give me to add to the training so we can convert more throught this channel?

Thanks in advance.

It's one channel of a multi-touch strategy. You should be using it combined with calls & email. Make sure you're also strong on your media game (eg your posts) which should be interesting and provide insight into the market and how you can help, and also a channel for driving registration to any events you're holding/hosting.

All of this.

It's just a small piece of a larger puzzle.

You use the LI to soften the other touches or get lucky on someone ghosting you on the other mediums. Use the information they provide to maximum advantage - same college? Dude I miss drinking at... started in a similar industry you did? Copier guy after my own heart! how'd you pivot to ... Military service? I grew up an Army brat and I'll never forget...

LinkedIn isn't going to magically find you new people or generate so many meetings...but the access and information that they've put out willingly means you can use it all to engage and have 1% chance more they recognize you on the email/call OR tell you to kick rocks via LI and you can move on.

I do believe LI navigator is a waste of money though - oh and don't control your reps LI posts and pages, let it be organically them so people can actually connect through shared opinions and not click and see a copy and pasted description from the onboarding packet.

Find ICP through navigator
Send blank connection requests
Skip on Inmail - barely works
Send messages once accepted
Increase your TAM
Follow up

Side note: post regularly, have a good network of relevant people in the industry, improves credibility, make your profile pop.

I find in a cadence where an email is sent cold and then a LinkedIn request the next day brings higher connections rates as itโ€™s putting a face to a name and the prospect will sometimes subconsciously accept it. Follow your normal cadence and then a week later ping them on LinkedIn
