Sales Timeframe?

When hired at a company that has never had a sales department, and you have to build it from the ground up with not a single lead, no CRM, no data, no database, etc. How long should the company give you to build a sales procedure and close 100k+ deals? Asking for a friend.

Well I can tell you from experience it took our company like 3.5 years from creation to 6 figure deals, and 8 years for a solid sales process

Thank you for the feedback. I was working for a engineering co that partnered with companies that needed help supplementing engineering projects. I was there 5 months, brought them a data source, leads, meetings, partnerships with 2 companies to do work and they bailed. Drives me crazy when I take a chance on a company that ultimately won't stay with the process and bail.

100k in deals depends on the average deal I suppose. It can take a few years just to get a legit process developed.
