Sales Tools/Platforms You Use?

Every organization uses different sales tools/platforms to enable their employees. Whether it be SalesForce, Outreach, SalesLoft, HubSpot, ZoomInfo, SalesNav etc I want to know:

  1. What tools you're using and if you think they add value
  2. What tools have you used in the past that didn't work for you

We use a number of different tools in my organization and I'm curious about what is most effective at yours.

Add value:
CRM - SFDC
Prospecting - LinkedIN, ZoomInfo
Org charts - LucidChart

Don't add value:
Email - Outreach

I put outreach in the "don't add value" simply because for some reason our marketing department has locked it so in order to use it, we have to use their shitty email templates. I customize my emails anyway so I just send one-off's but I did like outreach for task reminders before the hostile marketing take over

If you're working out of Gmail, Streak is a free add-on that saves custom templates/snippets/etc, big fan.ย

Same situation, so many organizations limit Outreach's functionality to within marketing's desire, which basically turns all email into spam with minimal to no reply rates.

It is so frustrating. Marketing thinks people read 13 page emails with random buzzwords. I think it should be a requirement that all marketing teams spend a year as an SDR learning how to actually cold pitch to prospects.ย

Shit would change quick.

Wow, multi-million dollar idea right here. Would be great if marketing actually knew how to sell.ย

Seamless.ai - Data was terrible

Do not use Hoover's D&B. The information is outdated. ZoomInfo is lightyears better.

Stack:

HubSpot (lifeblood)
ZoomInfo (hit or miss, data is pretty dirty but I'd say it's adding)
Apollo.io (data is far more accurate than ZI, adder for sure)
Notion (love it so much)
LinkedIn Sales Nav (it's fine...I wish it exported the lists.)
AVOMA (love it way more than Gong)

Salesforce!! Most helpful.ย

least helpful: LinkedIn because most SMBs really donโ€™t utilize it.ย

To what? It was formerly inside sales.com. Iโ€™ve gone from Outreach>SalesLoft>Xant. Iโ€™m about dust off the mediocre vLookup skillz and starting merging all yaโ€™ll bitches.

Rebranding back to "inside sales" old name,ย  believe it or not. I guess they didn't announce it to their clients yet?ย
