I've implemented HubSpot in a 50 people startup with 6 reps (and growing). No sales or marketing Ops required, it is just so intuitive and does most of the things we need OOTB. If you have a luxury of having a dedicated operation resource or a SFDC developer I can understand why you would choose Salesforce. But personally I switched to HubSpot and I have no regrets. A CRM shouldn't be complicated.

I've used both, but the challenges come up with integrations. Salesforce is a thousand times better when it comes to this. Want to use Hubspot CRM and Salesloft for your outreach? Yikes. Want to use Salesforce and Salesloft? No problem.

no need for salesloft with HubSpot when you have sequences built into the tool itself

Sequences in HubSpot used to be a terrible workflow. I think they've made it better recently, but I haven't used it in a while

Any company beyond a certain size is going to move to SFDC and deal with all the pain of migrating and relearning shit after that.  SFDC also sucks, but it is what it is and you may as well just swallow the poison early and have a consistent database
