Salt Lake City for tech sale?

Been seeing more and more companies opening up offices in Salt Lake City - anybody actually live there? What kind of scene is it? Is the beer really all under 4% ABV???

Tons of tech opportunities there. Cool city, but with weird laws

SLC is actually really cool! Yes there are weird alcohol rules especially at restaurants/hotels but nothing you can't get used to. The outdoor scene (lakes, hiking, cycling, etc..) is out of this world and downtown is super legit. I used to travel their monthly for my last job and consider it one of my favorite cities in the US.

Yeah, I lived in Denver for a while so have spent a lot of time there as well. I wouldn't really compare CS to SLC. It's more of a really large suburb city of Denver with not a lot going for it other than the mountains and some cool patches here and there. The city scene and all around vibe of SLC trumps CS all day long. If you're going to move to CO, move to Denver or Boulder.

SLC and Utah are the worst. I can promise you that you won’t like it here. Please don’t move here 😉.

I used to spend a week there every quarter visiting clients. I really enjoyed the SLC area. Spent my free time mountain biking or skiing in the Park City area and there are unlimited outdoor adventures if you're into that sort of thing.

Bottled or can beer can be up to 5% ABV in convenience stores, but anything above that must be bought at a liquor or package store. Breweries can produce and sell above 5%, but you often can't take that with ya. Hit up Wasatch or High Noon Saloon in Park City for some good beverages and people.

Went to SLC and Park City for Sundance 2020 and the area is incredible. The alcohol has weird rules, but you can easily get beers with over 4%.
