Sandbagging?

Am I being an asshat, when I get pissed that half my team sandbags? Like blatantly obvious to the point of putting multiple orders through on 1/1. My manager doesn't care, and we were all over our quota. The sandbaggers think the accelerators aren't as meaningful as starting the year strong. CRO and CEO don't care. They look at it as they don't have to pay accelerators. Should I just say "Fuck it," and wipe my eyes with my accelerator money?

Why do you care about what other people are doing with their deals? If it doesn't affect your job or your money, mind your own biz and move on.

Leaderboards are life.  I don't like to be at the bottom, and I also don't like to sacrifice my integrity.

It does fuck with my money in a roundabout way.  If an absolute layup comes in, it typically goes to the top of the leaderboard, as they are perceived as working harder because they have closed more.  I am usually caught up and past them by June, and it sucks watching them get layups while I bust ass.

Do you get extra rewards for being top of leaderboard? If so, I kind of see your point. That said, it's still none of your business to tell colleagues how to manage their pipeline. If the bosses don't care, you're SOL.

OK, so that's definitely something that affects you.  Have you brought these concerns up to your management?

To me this just shows that they've made a strategic decision. You chose accelerators, they chose to be considered for layups. As long as you're playing within the same rules, I dont see the issue.

Answer this for me: Does your bank account care about what other people on your team do?

the accelerators are the incentive to not sandbag. Let them sandbag. You just keep crushing the quota.

Not sure why they wouldn't care about accelerators, TBH.

They aren't great, but they are something.  It is more important to them to start the year strong to ensure they get to them the next year.

Not sure if it's a good practice but I won't do it. As your accelerators aren't great, they might not want to miss monthly numbers is what my assumption is.
