Do you prospect LinkedIn groups? I booked 2 meetings in 20 minutes o.0 - SADNESS

How common is this?

I just scheduled 2 meetings in 20 minutes on this linkedin group by interacting with posts that talked about a pain point our product solves (Commenting something like, would love to introduce you to x person and tagging them), connecting with a note asking about if the pain is still there and if they'd be open to connecting and being introduced, then introducing them to our team members to 'help educate' or meet to 'discuss', starting the group chat, then both the prospects sent their calendars and availability.

Also joining a slack group soon?.

I had to take the day off to slow down lol I'm way overperforming now not trying to hit that comp plan edit

Does anyone else actually do this?

Do you prospect Li groups?

I like this idea! Did you just search for groups based off industry terms?

Thanks! Exactly. I am selling HR right now, So I spam joined the top 40 groups and started going through the most popular one this morning, found a couple posts relatively quickly that were people asking for help or reccomendations for things that our product exactly does, and offered a 'educational' based marketing connection and meeting to see if value could be brought to each other, had a response and booking from both w/in ten minutes.

after connecting I started a group chat with the expert they would be speaking with, that way they could also review their profile and have the warm intro to me. Worked like a charm. One prospect asked a question about the qualifications of the person to be introduced, by the time I typed it out she had reviewed her profile and came back impressed with a calendly link for us.

Especially that noone has engaged with their posts at all usually.

I have had some success doing this myself after moving into a new industry, I don't do it a lot but after reading your post plan to do more of it.

Nice work getting the meetings booked and over performing!

This is a great idea. Facebook groups are really popular in my industry and we use those - this industry is really unique. But people are really wary of companies sneaking into the group and trying to sell to them, so you need to be strategic.

This is going to come off harsh but I'm actually curious: What industry is using facebook other than anti-vax deep state Fox News?

Yup, but mainly via connection requests after interacting with posts. I've seen some good results. Although posting within the groups is something I'd be wary of, just given the vertical I'm in.

Yeah for sure, if they are relevant titles to what I am selling I have found this a great way to book mtgs. I automate through Meet alfred and sales nav

How's your experience with Meet Alfred been? Are you afraid of LI blocking your profile bc of automation?

Been using it for several years and never been blocked or banned. I am fairly conservative and only ever have 1 campaign at a time

I have been using it for years but yeah essentially you can set it to prospect a specific group or even post. I usually send a connection request and follow up some relevant info about the problem my product solves and ask if they are dealing with that at their org.. obviously I script it out better depending on who I’m reaching out to. FYI never been flagged by LI

I do a bit, but those groups often feel like a giant marketing spamming of other people trying to sell in the group. So at that point it's definitely more of paying attention to who is there that I can help.
