SDR/AEs: How do you work together?

I work at a start up, I'm one of two SDRs and our one and only AE starts Monday

We're a new sales org and the last company I was at had us round robin so I want to pick your collective brain in hopes it'll help us become the dream team as quickly as possible

Without further ado,

How do you work with your AE or SDR?

I want all the deets on what works for you wrt:

  • process
  • collaborating
  • strategizing
  • team selling
  • account alignment
  • whatever else you think a new SDR/AE team needs to know

The way I used to do this is to develop a 'target' account list with the AE. Companies who we want to work with. Then we split up this target account sheet between the SDRs and would A/B test tactics. Usually for about 2 weeks to determine what works best. Continuously optimize.

Did away with a qualification call. Buyers don't want to be BANT'ed by SDRs, it provides no value to them. As soon as there is interest, schedule time with the AE.

How do you split it up? Prospecting to different personas? Do you have a list of target accounts?

Seamless is dependant on scraping, meaning a ton of bogus information. This is documented heavily since they have had to change their domain name multiple times. Plus their customer support is very poor.

I've used Salesintel and its awesome. They human verify contacts for you so it's much more accurate and their customer support is awesome. Only downside is that they are newer, so it doesn't have as vast as a database like a ZoomInfo, but it's growing fast.
