SDRs: How long do you wait until reaching out to prospects at a company after running them through a cadence/sequence without any response?

Also, do you mention the fact that you've sent them a handful of emails in the past or just pretend like you haven't?

pretend like you havnt reached out before is a good idea.

I have not seen/had much success with reminding them I have followed up before.

Ether they dont care or didnt see it and ether way it doesnt matter.

I would wait 4 - 8 weeks unless you have new info that would make it more pressing to reach out sooner.

I usually wait a month or two before trying to reach out again also, and never really mention my previous attempts.

I do this immediately after the sequence has reached its end.

Just call, you know they got them, they can play dumb. just bring it up and tell them why you are calling.

pretend like you've never reached out before. they don't remember you anyway.

typically a 2 month cool down period is what I always went for. Sequence them so you're hitting them for a month. back off of them for 2 months, then start again. This is assuming marketing has them on a drip campaign though so they're still seeing something come in occasionally.

Followup question: What should I do in regards to messaging? My first sequence has all of this different messaging and I find it difficult to come up with something completely new the second time around.

don't have a ton of different messaging in each email. they should be short and sweet. 6-8 sentences max. that will solve your problem. keep each email specific to individual use cases.

I guess I meant if youโ€™re using different templates entirely or just resending the same stuff you sent before

oh I just resend the same stuff. The chance of someone opening an email and not responding is much lower than them not opening it altogether. Every few months I tweak my messaging, but that's about it.

If you have no luck - give it 2 weeks and personalize another email if you believe theyโ€™re the โ€œitโ€ person at their company. Otherwise, diversify and personalize at scale.

For all you mail mergers out there, do you see more success emailing one DM or all DMs on a custom thread? I've noticed that putting all relevant DMs on one campaign that is 100% customized to their business has a much higher response rate (28% meeting sucess)
