SDRS - who get a lot of meetings on linkedin--

Would love to hear whats working for you or your teams. what kind of messaging/best practices are you guys using?

---------

typically after a prospect accepts the invite i'd send them a chat and say something along the lines: "hey [first name] thanks for the connect! this is who we are/how we can help your company - do you have a 10 mins next week to hear a bit more on how we can help?

Iโ€™ve also seen other SDRS just send short messages like "hey first name, thanks for connecting!" and then they try to find some relevance from the persons linkedin page etc in hopes to get a response back and then get into the the pitch later in the convo.

We get plenty of meetings on phone, not that many booked over email anymore and only a few on linkedin. Thanks again guys!

Not an SDR, but don't go straight into the pitch. Give it a bit of time, maybe try to provide some value and build rapport.

Nobody likes to be added and then immediately get a request to meet. It should also be part of a wider strategy that includes touches on email and phone as well.

That LI add might make them reply to your email, so judging efficacy isn't exactly a straight line.

Only way to say this better might possibly be in a language I donโ€™t speak. Soโ€ฆ yeah, ๐Ÿ‘† this.

I donโ€™t know about a lot of meetings but I like to weasel my way in. I start by following people on LinkedIn, then I start liking their stuff and sometimes opportunity presents itself to leave a witty comment and then connect. Then chill and then invite them to a webinar or event or what not. Itโ€™s just not what you expect on LinkedInโ€ฆ I wouldnโ€™t talk to sales rep on LinkedIn but I would probably reply to your email if I am familiar with you somehow. So as SDR figure out what industry you want to be in and just be yourself and start networking, just have fun. It will pay off later.

Not everyone can be a witty weasel, but I do support this entire notion.

Prospecting via LI is a waste, IMO.

Um, what? Maybe depends on the industry and ICP, no?

Iโ€™m an AE but get a lot of leads from LinkedIn. I have created a personal brand and a thought leader in my industry, took years but was a great investment

Never go straight to the pitch.
Always focus on being Human.

Send a โ€œheyโ€ talk about the weather or anything.
Build rapport and then play for the win with the pitch.

We get a lot from LI - leave it on average 4/5 days to message. Lead with something like โ€˜appreciate weโ€™ve never spoke before butโ€™ or a pain point โ€˜do you find your XYZ is a bit manual/robust blah blahโ€™ if so we do thisโ€ฆ

Donโ€™t always give a CTA at the end leave it open.

Set your lead list to new job roles to get notified and after a few days just open with congrats on the new role, curious if youโ€™d be looking into XYZ as part of your new remit?

Little things like that without pitch slapping
