Search for a new job

That super awkward "in-between" time, when you are searching for a job and close a big deal and now unsure whether or not to leave (or continue to interview ) or wait for your commission check.

Spare the signing bonus stuff; it's always more rewarding to get your hard earn commish !!!

Have been there as well. Ultimately, your career and your happiness is more important then a single closed won deal and minor commish check. If the commish is a lifechanging amount, I'd stick it out. Otherwise, do what makes you happy.

Definitely. How much will the commission cheque change your life compared to what leaving a less than stellar job will do?

Try to find a lawyer you can talk to for free to look over your compensation plan and state labor laws before making a decision. I made that fatal mistake once.

If you're halfway out, try out the new one. If you're starting, better to wait.

I'd say leave if you find another good fit, just make sure you stay until that commission check has hit your bank account
